Our philosophy is simple: your babies are our babies while they're here. We want dogs in our care to have plenty of opportunities to play, exercise, relax, and enjoy their time at the barn.

Our Story
Papa's Dog Barn was established in 2023 under new ownership and a new name, beginning a new chapter for the business formerly known as Yellow Paws Dog Training.
Today, Papa's Dog Barn is a comprehensive pet care facility bringing boarding, daycare, grooming, and training together at one convenient location in Mexico, Missouri.
The name may have changed, but dogs remain at the heart of what we do.
Active Care
A Place Where Dogs Can Be Dogs
At Papa's Dog Barn, we believe dogs should have the freedom to move, play, and enjoy being dogs. There's plenty of room to run and exercise, pools where dogs can cool off when they get warm, and cots for relaxing or taking a well-earned nap.
Dogs aren't kept confined throughout their stay unless requested by their owner, giving them opportunities to stretch their legs and stay active.
"Our goal is simple: plenty of play, plenty of exercise, and a dog who's ready to relax after a fun day at the barn."
And if all that fun gets your dog a little dirty, we'll clean them up at the owner's request.
